Thank you all of the foreign guests – the German group and the international work-campers. The work done by the international team was invaluable, and your positive and helpful attitude was inspiring. The German group knitted tightly in and your presence was greatly appreciated by all of us.

Hello all foreign guests!

The preparations for the camp are well underway, and detailed plans of structures and facilities are emerging. Dozens of people are working and meeting almost constantly in order to make the camp the most unique summer camp of the year 2010.

The project naturally employs many a professional who have volunteered to take responsibility in their area of expertise – security, environment, construction, health-care… The programme and all other committees and work groups are designing the details of coming TaigaMetsä-experience, and the main office is filled with the chatter of telephone calls and emails.

The TaigaMetsä-camp isn’t that big in comparison to some other camps, but the heart of TaigaMetsä is as big and even bigger. Signing up has now been opened, and it will end in 30th of April. The foreign groups can sign up through their own contacts within Kaleva Youth Association, or directly contacting the camp office.

The population of TaigaMetsä will steadily grow during Spring, and the first dozen of future inhabitants has already signed up.

Structures planned for the camp are so far – the camp gate, individual gates for all of the four villages, a couple of smaller tents and one huge tent (In which all of the campers can fit nicely), great tents for wizards… All of the structures for the villages can be modified by the villagers to fit into their individual colors – North is red, East is blue, South is yellow, West is green and the family camp is violet…

The complete camp will be something quite extraordinary, and there will be space and time to realize something of your own too.
